Super Sized Rescue Squad is a fast paced 2D platformer inspired by games like "Jill of the Jungle" and "Choplifter". You play as Wendy Aettridge, a young cargo plane pilot who is thrust into an international conflict when her plane is shot down by an evil cult, hell bent on world domination. She is exposed to a mysteries ooze that allows her to transform into a powerful giant! As a new super hero she runs out into the conflict zone to rescue civilians captured by the cult for experimentation. Crack open the POW camps, grab the prisoners and get them back to base safely.

I’ve now tried your game, and I love the style. It has a charming retro aesthetic that harks back to an earlier time, and the music fits the atmosphere really well. The gameplay, where you have to go out and find people, is an interesting idea. However, I do find it a bit repetitive over time. The process of rescuing people, going back, setting them down, and then going out again becomes a bit monotonous. I often found myself running past enemies because I didn’t want to continue rescuing people, which, in my opinion, detracts from the overall experience.

I also had some difficulty with the controls, which I hope will be improved when the game is released. Overall, it’s a decent game with an okay story, and I hope it will be better utilized as you play through different maps. For now, I would give it a 6/10.

Hi, thanks a lot for your feedback. We're working hard to make a good game that people will enjoy. Can you tell me what issue you had with the controls specifically. "Having trouble" with them dose not give us a lot to go on.

it was how to control it I would like to have the possibility to change it myself :)

Looking forward to the full game :D

By the way, when climbing buildings on hard it's not uncommon for me to accidentaly kill the POWs. That doesn't seem intentional

Hey, sorry I didn't see your post earlier. Yeah, on hard you can accidentally kill the POWs. So you have to be more mindful of your actions. As killing too many will cause you to lose that level. On Medium and up they can also be killed by the enemies also, though on Medium the enemies don't actively target them like they do on Hard.

Great demo! I like the spin you put into it. Some rampage mixed in with a little bit of desert strike. Such a great idea.

Hey, thanks a lot! We will be releasing on Steam latter this year!
